| Converting Files from Corel Word Perfect to Microsoft Word |

In many cases, all that is required to convert a Corel WordPerfect Office file into a Microsoft Word file is to open it in the Microsoft program and then save it as a Microsoft Word document. If this is not successful, saving a file from Corel WordPerfect into a Microsoft Word file may work.
Conversion may not always be perfect. Both office suites use their own proprietary file formats which are not completely compatible with each other. After conversion, some editing may be necessary to restore the original formatting. Special Documents - If you have documents with macros, merges or other special features (templates, forms, etc) that need careful conversion, contact the ITS Help Desk. They may be able to provide conversion assistance.
OCR Grade 1 - $0.15 (Price per Page) - Auto OCR "as is" conversion. You get the results exactly as the OCR Engine produces them. There is no quality check on this service. Text only - no images, no editing. OCR Grade 2 - $0.35 (Price per Page) – It is the same service as Auto OCR, an OCR technician runs a spell-checker in a word-processor after OCR to find most OCR errors automatically and provides a quality control to identify pages that require further service. OCR Grade 3 - $.75 (Price per Page) – This output is a full OCR service. Maintain text, formats, font style, and lay-out of the original image as best as possible, usually with at least 99% accuracy of the original.
